News: One-on-one
It's now possible to book one-on-one sessions with me, in the shop during opening hours. If you'd like me to teach you how to knit or crochet, if you have a more complicated specific project in mind, or if you have a severe knitting crisis and need help to untangle the mess, just drop me a note using the contact form on this site. The price is £15 for every starting hour.
Group courses
I haven't scheduled any group classes for this year yet, however if you'd like to arrange an Absolute Novice or Intrigued Intermediate course for you and your friends, please send me a note using the contact form on this site. Read all about the Absolute Novice and Intrigued Intermediate knitting courses here. I'm also available for keeping talks about knitting, alternative fibres, trends and eco-friendly knitting.
Who takes the pictures?
I do! I have bought loads of yarn on the Internet myself and have felt the frustration of not receiving the colour I thought I was buying. Therefore it has always been very important for me to offer accurate colour representation to my customers. Every single ball or hank of wool in this web shop is photographed by me in natural light. Of course there are small colour variations from screen to screen, but I believe you'll find that my pictures equals the yarn you receive when ordering.

Did you know...
There are only two basic stitches in knitting, with which all other stitch patterns are made. The two basic stitches used in knitting are the knit stitch and the purl stitch. The purl stitch is essentialy the back of a knit stitch, so is worked almost exactly backwards of the way a knit stitch is worked. Variations of these two stitches make all the patterns in knitting.Knitting is an activity that stimulates both sides of the brain simultaneously. Research has shown that knitting has a preventive effect on developing Alzheimer's disease.
